Cours Fonctions logarithmiques 2EME ANNEE BAC SM A ET B

Cours : Fonctions logarithmiques – 2ᵉ Bac SM A et B

1. Définition

  • Une fonction logarithme est la fonction réciproque d’une fonction exponentielle.

  • Si f(x)=a⋅eb(x−x0)f(x) = a \cdot e^{b(x - x_0)}, la fonction logarithme correspondante est :

f−1(x)=x0+1bln⁡(xa)f^{-1}(x) = x_0 + \frac{1}{b} \ln\left(\frac{x}{a}\right)

où :

  • ee : base du logarithme népérien, environ 2,718

  • aa : coefficient multiplicatif

  • bb : taux de variation

  • x0x_0 : décalage horizontal

2. Propriétés des fonctions logarithmiques

  • Domaine : ]0,+∞[]0, +\infty[

  • Image : R\mathbb{R}

  • Limite en 0 : lim⁡x→0+ln⁡(x)=−∞\lim_{x \to 0^+} \ln(x) = -\infty

  • Limite à l’infini : lim⁡x→+∞ln⁡(x)=+∞\lim_{x \to +\infty} \ln(x) = +\infty

  • Dérivée : (ln⁡(x))′=1x(\ln(x))' = \frac{1}{x}

  • Monotonie : La fonction ln⁡(x)\ln(x) est croissante sur ]0,+∞[]0, +\infty[

3. Logarithme népérien ln⁡(x)\ln(x)

  • Définition : Fonction telle que :

ddxln⁡(x)=1x,ln⁡(1)=0\frac{d}{dx} \ln(x) = \frac{1}{x}, \quad \ln(1) = 0
  • Domaine : ]0,+∞[]0, +\infty[

  • Image : R\mathbb{R}

  • Graphique : Courbe croissante passant par le point (1,0)(1, 0)

4. Logarithme décimal log⁡(x)\log(x)

  • Définition : Fonction telle que :

(log⁡(x))′=1xln⁡(10)(\log(x))' = \frac{1}{x \ln(10)}
  • Lien avec ln⁡(x)\ln(x) :

log⁡(x)=ln⁡(x)ln⁡(10)\log(x) = \frac{\ln(x)}{\ln(10)}
  • Domaine : ]0,+∞[]0, +\infty[

  • Image : R\mathbb{R}

5. Applications

  • Résolution d’équations exponentielles :

ax=b⇒x=log⁡a(b)a^x = b \quad \Rightarrow \quad x = \log_a(b)
  • Modélisation : Croissance et décroissance exponentielles (population, radioactivité, intérêts composés, etc.)
